Kayako Saeki is a minor character in the Scary Movie franchise. She was played by actress Tomoku Sato.
Bio[]
Kayako was a young Japanese immigrant to New York City who was attracted to Henry Hale and sometimes stalked him.. She was the mother of Toshio Saeki and lover of Billy the doll. After dying under unknown circumstances, her ghost began haunting the cursed Japanese house where she lived along with her son Toshio Saeki.
Scary Movie 4[]
Despite not being shown fully, she was often seen by just her her hair which was was seen coming from the walls. The new tenant of her house was Mrs. Norris, whose disabilities became a weak defense against her haunting activity in the house. However, Kayako was able to terrorize Mrs. Norris's caregiver, Yoko, and might have been the reason for her disfigurement. Yoko was eventually replaced by Cindy Campbell, and while she was taking a shower in the house, Kayako's hand appeared and shaved Cindy's armpits.
She also tended to appear in many pictures with Henry Hale before her death and her ghost appeared in a picture of Mrs. Norris.
Trivia[]
- As a spirit, Kayako seems more powerful than Mama or Mistress Kane, maybe even on par with Hugh Kane. Her activity seems to have a demonic component. She can teleport herself around the house and cause poltergeist activity.
- In Scary Movie 4, she was credited only as "Japanese Ghost Woman."
